June 2007: Progress towards incorporation has been slow. Our last few meetings have been poorly attended due to work concerns and health problems. We're still making headway towards a 501(c)3 application, but it takes a long time. We are also in need of pro-bono legal and financial advice to help with the application. If you know of anyone who would be able to help, please point them our way!

February 24th, 2007: The foundation's members met for four hours today to create a first draft of our bylaws. Our next meeting, set for March 10th, will focus on further preparations for incorporation.

February 3rd, 2007: Poor health and family committments led to a small meeting today. We discussed primarily legal matters, such as the process of incorporation and applying for nonprofit status.

January 6th, 2007: Today we held a meeting to set the foundation's mission statement.

December 2006: JZEF's 2006 Newsletter sent out.

October 2nd, 2006 Two of our founders were interviewed on the radio show "RSVP to Life," which broacasts every Monday 3-4 PM on WRPI, in Troy NY. The interview was about an hour long, and contains both information about the foundation and our school and some personal questions for our founders. You can download the whole interview in mp3 format on our new Audio page.

August 12th, 2006: We held our first annual meeting on August 12th, in a room generously supplied by UMass Amherst. The meeting stretched over five hours, and laid the foundation for the school itself, setting major goals for the coming year.

July 27th, 2006: Site updated to include contact information and other improvements.

February 10th, 2006: JZEF Site goes online.
